Fun Books: Wish

You've seen the cool books that I do have, here are just a few that I think would make a great read and use of time.
After getting No Plot No Problem Book I want this and the kit to just work.

I love the organization and fun that these two provide (hence these two books are on my Christmas list.)
Being a big fan of Kerri Smith and all her works, I'm going to have to try this one.
I am in love with the Photojojo website. It's a fun place to get inspiration and tutorials. Having it as a book would just be stellar.

I love to craft and this book makes crafting seem less girl scouty and more hard core.

In the mean time I'll read my Irish Novels for class. Until Winter Break then.

Fun Books

Ever walked through a bookstore and found an odd book that stuck out? Maybe it was the bright colors, or the pop-ups, or the crazy title. But these are the books that just look fun. I have a few books like that actually and I love to read them. They cheer me up and never stop entertaining me.

During my Senior year of high school I kept this in my purse and would pull it out whenever I got bored. I learned all the countries in Africa through this.

Well this is just entertaining and self explanatory.
These letters are beautiful and sad and I just want to know more about their life each time I read them.
I'll have to make a post on my progress with this book. My cousin, Kara, completed this once while we were in North Carolina.

No Plot, No Problem
I just got this the other day and I can't wait to crack it open.

I'm looking forward to adding some more silly books to my collection this Winter.

DIY Singing Wallet

Still not sure what to get your man for the holidays? Look no further, than the singing card wallet. I did this for Gerred's 21st birthday and he got such a kick out of it. Get a pair of scissors and these materials:

and a wallet

It's all really simple,
  1. Cut the musical chip (I used Star Wars) inside the card out, while still leaving the folding part attached so the chip can be activated.
  2. Stick the chip inside the wallet
  3. Have him open the wallet and here the music!
For an added bonus you can write a note inside, leave a few gift cards, or even tickets to an event or game.

Bows

From what you saw with the curlers, I've been trying to do more with my hair than down or up. I'm thinking bows are going to be a new thing for me to try.

Here's a bow I might try myself!

Edit: Gerred got me that bow for Christmas and I love it :)

Malaia

I love the feeling of finishing a bottle or tube of something, whether that be shampoo, lipgloss, or even chapstick. Whenever I do finish one I feel a sense of accomplishment. Like now, for instance, I finished off my Malaia perfume from Hollister.

It only took me 7 years to finish it though, from when I purchased it back in my "maybe Hollister is cool" phase in middle school. I now know otherwise since I have a few problems with Hollister.
  1. Hollister is so dark as if it's meant to blind customers from what they are actually wearing.
  2. Hollister's counterpart, Abercrombie & Fitch, had to pay Mike "The Situation" from The Jersey Shore not to wear their clothing.
  3. Hollister's marketing involves shirtless and sometimes even Naked men, which doesn't really send a great message to their preteen audience.
That sure looks like a warm jacket. It may actually work if it were zipped.

Back to the perfume itself, Malaia, which is described as "the natural beauty of a sundrenched Hollister girl. The essence of crisp water, sheer florals, and soft woody tones. The allure of the ocean and the California sun." I'd say it's generally a pretty nice perfume, but is best worn in preteen moments in life because it's like the female version of Axe. Although, Gerred thinks it smells nice, it's just not my "scent."

I assume this is Hollister's reaction to the perfume-- creepiness.

Now I leave you with this excerpt of A Mother's Prayer from Tina Fey's novel Bossypants, "And when she one day turns on me and calls me a Bitch in front of Hollister, Give me the strength, Lord, to yank her directly into a cab in front of her friends, For I will not have that Shit. I will not have it."
