Crossbody Satchels

I've finally taken into consideration the ease of traveling with a crossbody bag, and though I'd love to go out and shop for a brand new one I do already have one. It's a cloth satchel I used as a purse in middle school and has a sun embroidered on a flap. It's a little out of date, but flipped the right way it's workable and there is no need to buy another. In the meantime, here is what I would get if, you know, I were made of money.
1. Modcloth // Stopped By to Say Hilighter
3. Kate Spade // Grove Court Cora
4. Modcloth // Cupcake Contest Shoulder Bag
5. Anthropologie // Colorblocked Tiny Legacy Bag
6. Epiphanie // Lyric

Have a crossbody bag of your own?

iPhone Cases

I've been told that I'm not allowed to say that I am "clumsy." However, I will admit that I am a little oblivious to the world around me and am therefore prone to crashing or dropping things. My phone is subject to most of the abuse since I've had to repair the screen twice this summer I'm thinking it's high time I replace the case I have (although cute  as it is) with something a little more practical and durable. But hey, I still want it to look a little chic. So the search begins.

1. Tech Candy // Barcelona (3-Piece Set)
2. Phantom // Aqua/White
3. Lilly Pulitzer // Chum Bucket
4. Case Mate //  Tough - Union Jack
5. Kate Spade // Airmail
6. Incipio // Stowaway

Edit: I went with #2. It's not as cute as the rest (especially the Kate Spade one,) but I will try to possibly decorate it.

Statement Necklaces

Even though I posted about wanting a statement necklace back in January, I still am statement necklace-less. So this time I've picked out a much brighter summer selection of statement necklaces to fawn over until I find the right one.
J. Crew // Bubble Necklace
Bauble Bar // Green Triad Strand
Bauble Bar // Bead Braid Strand
Spike the Punch // The Rainey Necklace
Bauble Bar // Glam Strip Bib

Personally, I'm sold on the triad...well when I have money.

Spring Wishes

Spring is here and has brought the sun back into my life and with it a whole new set of clothes and accessories to ooh and ahh over. And since it's April, my birthday month, I have no problem sharing my window shopping spring wishes with you all.
Retro cat wings really shape faces well instead of the weird bug eye trend that happened a few years back.

I've always wanted the JCrew Anchor Critter Shorts. I mean come on, they're just so nautical.

The wristlet I have is starting to fray and tear. I think it's time for another one.

Lucky Green

It's St. Patrick's Day and you know what that means -- wear green. I've gathered up a few key pieces that paired with a basic outfit (comprised of zero amounts of orange) will look great and give that little hint of green without going over the top.

Valentines Day Fever

It's February and the Valentines fever is in the air! It's time to wear a whole lot more red and pink and wink a lot like you've got something in you're eye at anyone that walks by you. But honestly, I've just been obsessed with red for awhile now and here is some of my Scarlet Valentines Day Fever.

Not always a geometric kind of gal, but this would be a great pop of "red" to start the Valentines vibe.
Easy thought, Valentines Day = Kiss. Be ready with this Nars lipgloss.

Pretty much all I want to do is bake. Baking sugary cupcakes with your friends is the best thing to do as  a fun Valentines day thing.

Red dresses are a necessity.

Agh, this is wonderfully romantic. Since it's like tying the knot.

Yep I'm already in that lovely Red february mood.

Laptop Bags

Sometimes I just like to look at shops. I don't technically want to buy them I'm just online window shopping. What's even better is when you get to window shop for a friend. I've been heading around the internet to find a good laptop sleeve for my friend Aileen's computer. Her computer has a couple missing keys and needs to be saved in a cute bag like one of these.
This pattern is fun, and perfectly geometrical and "tech"-like.
I love satchels, I found a bunch but I thought I'd just share this neon pink bag since it's crazy. There's more on Modcloth in different sizes and colors too. I don't think a bag like this could be lost easily.

This is cute, and has a nice calm Paris pattern. It's not too overwhelming.

I'm not a big Juicy Couture fan, but I do love silver sparkles.

I'm not sure whether I like the green-white color scheme, the little button clasp, or the ikat demask pattern better.

So Nautical. Love the rope connector.

Birds. Who doesn't love a good bird laptop bag?
This makes me think of scholarly elbow patches and therefore I approve of it.

And of course the Vera Bradley option. Matching the ID wristlet is always a good choice.

Coffee Mugs

Though I don't drink coffee, but I'd like to have a nice mug to keep hot chocolate, cider, or tea warm with me in my early morning classes. I'm trying to actually become a tea drinker because in, Foundations of Western Lit I: Bible, I get to sit on a couch and drink tea during lectures. As an English major how can I not fully embrace tea? I just need a nice mug to tote around.

Classic. Green. Cute.

I love this pattern and it's cuteness allows my non-coffee to pass as cool.

These are insane. Can you imagine sitting there in class, pulling out a lens and sipping out of it. So perfectly quirky!

Statement Necklaces

Other than trying out scarves as an accessory, I'd love to try out statement necklaces. The necklaces I have now are minimal charms on a chain, so a nice bulk of a necklace will make a big change I think.

This is like a culmination of 1920's and Aztec style.

As a lover of all things nautical I love the knots on this paired with the gold chain.

I have a necklace like this made from cloth that was made to help kids in Tanzania.

I love deep colors right now and the size of all the beads is adventurous.

Cloth flower necklaces are very in, but this one is just the cutest.

And if you don't want to buy a statement necklace, you can always make one yourself like flamingotoes's Anthropology Necklace.

iPhone Cases

My cousin, Kacie, was asking me the other day about cute cases when she saw mine and I realized I knew a couple sites for her, but I'd love to share with everyone. Mine is a cute Marley Lilly case almost identical to the College Prepster's.

So for all of you that got a new iPhone (or Droid) for Christmas or Hanukkah here are some interesting sites to get cute cases like the one I have.

I got my phone from here and I absolutely love it. I certainly get a lot of compliments on it. There are many different patterns, color options, and even the chance to monogram.

This offers more or less the same designs as Marley Lilly as well as the monogramming option. This has a better design though if you're looking to write your full name out.

Each of these cases is adorable and unique and I'd love to see them on every phone.

Ah, I love Lifeguard Press. They have Dylan's Candy Bar, Jonathan Adler, and Lilly Pulitzer cases to choose from. I almost got one of the Lilly ones actually.

Bows

From what you saw with the curlers, I've been trying to do more with my hair than down or up. I'm thinking bows are going to be a new thing for me to try.

Here's a bow I might try myself!

Edit: Gerred got me that bow for Christmas and I love it :)

Gifts for the Best Friend

This holiday season you want to get your friends someting awesome. You've got the best friend from back home (Katie) and the friends at school. For school, I'd do a secret santa so you can really get a person a gift you know they like instead of giving everyone mini hand sanitizers and finding a hole in your pocket. Anyways here are some best friend picks that won't break the bank!

My friends are big scarf fiends so i'd definitely give them one.

I have to say the AEO Earbud Earmuffs are just about the coolest winter invention. Listening to music and having warm ears are always a plus.

Nail Polish is always good especially Sephora by OPI. Any make-up would probably be nice.

This book, Hot Guys Holding Baby Animals, is amazing for the friend that flips through People's 50 handsome guys a whole lot.

Gift Guide for the Girlfriend

Hello, after making the boyfriend gift guide I got a request to make a gift guide for girlfriends. So here you go guys, this should steer you in the right direction.

Dogeared has a great create your own charm bracelet that you can customize to fit her personality: including initials, religion, birthstone, and hobbies!

Simple jewelry is the way to go, and this One in a Million necklace is sure to make her smile.

Be like this guy and paint your girl some pottery at Clay Bakers or another pottery painting place in your area. Don't worry about your art skills, she'll love the thought you put behind it!

You can also give her a journal and write her a note in the front so she can look at that whenever she writes in it. For bonus points, you could even press some flowers in there.
